How to get ready for your photoshoot?

Here is a list of things that I recommend you do before the photographer arrives. These suggestions will help improve your photos, leading to more attention and better showings!

Pre-Shoot Checklist

Exterior

  • Close garage doors
  • Remove cars from driveway
  • Clean up landscaping (lawn, deck, backyard)
  • Trash bins in garage

Interior

  • Open all window curtains
  • Clean all windows
  • Turn on all lights
  • Make sure shoes are put away
  • Fresh flowers are a good recommendation to have around

Living/Family Room

  • Remove clutter
  • Arrange furniture and pillows neatly

Dining Room

  • ​Clear tables
  • Align chairs
  • Stage table with tablewares

Kitchen

  • Clear fridge door (remove magnets, pictures, etc)
  • Clear countertops
  • Hide garage can
  • Put away dish and cleaning products

Bedrooms

  • Make beds
  • Clear nightstand tables
  • Remove clutter
  • Remove posters/stickers on walls and doors

Bathrooms

  • Clear countertops
  • Put toilet seats down
  • Close all cabinets
  • Remove all toilietries from shower
  • Showcase clean towels
  • Remove towels that are placed behind doors
  • Hide garbage cans

Pets

  • Ideally there should be no trace of any pets
  • Clean out pet hair
  • Remove all pet accessories
