Fall in Love with Autumn

There is truly nothing like the nostalgia of the fall season. The flavored lattes, the warm knits, and the slight nip in the air that makes summer feel like a distant memory. We are ready to enjoy some loveable fall activities in Ottawa while the leaves last! Here are some ideas of how to have a great October here in our beautiful city.

Apple Picking

Apple picking is a true, classic fall activity. It's so enjoyable to take a scenic drive as the leaves change colour to the orchard with friends or family. Picking the best apples you can find is a fun challenge. You are sure to have some laughs trying to reach the top of the tree with your pals. The best part of apple picking is bringing the apples home to create some homemade apple treats! If you plan on baking, the best apples for fall recipes are the gala, honey gold, granny smith, and cortland. It's important to check the apple orchards website before you arrive if you are looking for a specific apple, as the trees for picking are chosen daily. Ottawa is home to many great local spots to pick from this season. Here are a few to try out!
